Climbing Kilimanjaro via the Machame route is an 8 day adventure. This includes 6 days on the mountain and 2 days at our three star hotel in Moshi (one day before and one day after the climb).

Climbing Kilimanjaro via the Marangu route can be done in 8 days. This includes 6 days on the mountain and 2 days at our three star hotel in Moshi (one day before and one day after the climb). We have already included the extra day for acclimatization.

What is included in the rates?
·  Machame: Two nights hotel Bed and Breakfast (1 night before and 1 night after the climb in shared 
   twin or triple rooms of 2/ 3* international standard).
  Marangu: Two nights hotel Dinner, Bed and Breakfast (1 night before and 1 night after the climb in 
   shared twin or triple rooms of 2/ 3* international standard).
·  Transfers to/ from Kilimanjaro Airport and to/ from the national park gate.
·  Mountain crew and their salaries (guide, chef, assistants, porters).
·  Three meals a day during the climb.
·  Water (bottled on first day, boiled and filtered thereafter).
·  Machame camping fees/ Marangu hut fees
·  National park entry fees.
·  Rescue fees.
·  All government taxes.

Not included in the tour price:
·  International flights.
·  Internal East Africa air or road transfers (e.g. Nairobi, Dar es Salaam etc).
·  International travel visas.
·  Personal insurance.
·  Alcohol, sodas, items of a personal nature.
·  Sleeping bags.
·  Laundry.
·  Gratuities (tips).
·  Additional hotel nights and meals not indicated in the program.

Flight information:
The closest airport is the Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania. We can book your flights and make sure that you will be picked up at the airport and transfered to your hotel.

Another option to consider is to fly to the international airport in Nairobi, Kenya. From here you can catch the shuttle bus accross the border to Moshi. We can also book this for you.

Climbing alone or in your own group?
You don't have to join a group and you can climb Kilimanjaro whenever you want. Just let us know when you would like to go and how many people you want to take along with you (or you can go solo) and we will arange the climb at no extra cost. A different route or warm up climb on Mount Meru?
We can arange for you to climb Kilimanjaro via any route. You can choose from the Marangu, Umbwe, Londorosi, Lemosho or the Rongai route. Just let us know via our "Contact us" page and we will get in contact with you and send you the rates as well.
