The ShapShap Travel Group was founded in early 2007 by Japie van Deventer and Lizza Duijverman. It was through their shared passion for travel and adventure and desire to offer travelers unique and memorable safari experiences that they decided to combine their efforts in creating their own adventure travel company - the ShapShap Travel Group!
Being true globetrotters and having extensively visited and traveled to over 90 countries across 6 continents, their experience proved valuable in building and growing ShapShap travel to the successful business it is today.
In 2020, after 13 years of helping over a thousand clients explore the adventures our globe has to offer, the founders of ShapShap Travel chose to shift their focus to other passions. In 2021, their
legacy and dream lives on under the ShapShap Adventure Travel Group, guided by Leenze and Marco le Grand.

Leenze le Grand
Leenze’s adventurous spirit was triggered when he joined a ShapShap tour in 2010, with the goal to summit Mount Everest base camp in Nepal and explore Tibet. From that experience, the wanderlust was activated, and he went on to travel all over the world, including several more adventure tours through ShapShap to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Peru.
Marco le Grand
Marco has a real passion for the outdoors and being out in the wild. Having traveled extensively through South Africa and to the majority of the National Parks in South Africa, he knows the Kruger
National Park better than most, as well as neighboring countries Namibia and Botswana. Being permanently situated in the Netherlands, Europe crept into his heart and has had many great
adventures exploring the various cities and wonders of this magnificent continent too.
For some people, an adventure travel experience to an exotic location is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We have been fortunate enough to see first-hand what this beautiful world has to offer,
and we would like to share that with our clients by using our combined experience to set up a tour of a lifetime!
